FOR DISCUSSION: Another 2009 Republic of Talossa National Destiny Referendum Act

WHEREAS in June 2004, we looked ahead to a future devoid of despotism to a bright dawn of democratic glory free of Ben and Amy.

WHEREAS in August 2005, Ben and Amy left the Kingdom of Talossa in a huff and puff.

WHEREAS that took our chief reason for existence away: defending true Talossanity,

WHEREAS since that time, we have floundered in apathy and disinterest with brief flashes of activity (save for Miestrâ and notable others who have kept this ship afloat),

WHEREAS it worked for the Kingdom in 1991, and it can work for us now,

THEREFORE, authorization is hereby given and the request is made to the Secretary of State to hold a binding referendum consisting of the following question:

Question: With which of the following shall the Republic of Talossa, founded 1 June 2004, proceed?

A. Dissolve the Republic of Talossa
B. Create a new constitution for the Republic as endorsed and brought about by a citizens' constitutional convention
C. Maintain our present constitution and the status-quo

The vote shall begin as soon as possible following the passage of this bill, it shall be held by the Secretary of State, and shall last for fourteen days.  The vote shall be executed via a preferential-ballot system with the aforementioned three options.
