To my Fellow Talossans,

This Summer, I will be leading a delegation of students from my university on a study abroad in the Czech Republic.

From May 21-June 12, I will be teaching in Prague on the campus of Charles University.
From June 13-June 20, I will be teaching in Ceske Budjovice on the campus of the University of South Bohemia.

So, I don't know what Cezembrean holiday plans look like, and I can't really leave those cities while I am there (I need to be centrally located for my students, etc)... but if you fancy a visit and some coffee, maybe seeing a show.  I'll be there.

České Budějovice is a bit out of my range (especially in terms of vacations), but visiting Prague might be an option (looking at the calendar, again).

Sadly, I've never been to Prague. I might have to correct that. Deet, let's coordinate our plans and see if we can make this happen!

Well guys, I can say that it would be great to meet a few fellow Republicans in person.

Having met Ián, I can say it was a great, great time.  His wife is equally-cool.

I'd like to meet Talossans whom I haven't met in person yet, and I'm curious to see what became of Prague - last time I've been there, the dictatorship had just crumbled, and a lot of things were just working the old way. Like having to stand in line for buying bread and other food, but also like public transport fares that were hilariously low, or like free and unused parking space right near the center of the city.

If any of you end up in the GTA, hit me up. I'm sure I can find you room and board. Wink

Well, I have potential interviews with UW-Eau Claire and UW-Fon du Lac, so I just might do that.  Although, the universities are supposed to pay my larder if they're actually going to interview me.
